It is perceived as backing and supplying arms to the Houthi regime, while Saudi Arabia supports the ousted Yemeni government. This article aims to scrutinize how Iran's official newspaper outlet, IRNA, constructs the Yemeni proxy war and elucidates the strategies employed to legitimize Iran's involvement. To fulfill this objective, 19 IRNA articles published between April 2018 and March 2019 were collected and subjected to analysis using Van Dijk’s socio-cognitive approach to critical discourse analysis. The analysis comprised three layers: global macro structures, thematic analysis, and ideological schemata analysis. The findings unearth Iran's discourse on the Yemeni conflict, emphasizing its denial of direct involvement, portrayal as a mediator seeking peace, and characterization of the Saudi coalition as aggressors, terrorists, and invaders.
2025-03-30T00:00:00+08:00 Copyright (c) 2025 INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF HUMANITIES, PHILOSOPHY AND LANGUAGES (IJHPL) https://gaexcellence.com/ijhpl/article/view/4974 THE SIGNIFICANCE OF AKIDAH-AKHLAK. This shows that the proficiency level among primary school English as a Second Language (ESL) pupils in Malaysia is alarming. The problem thatstands behind this issue is that the pupils are struggling and reluctant to read as advanced technologies and gadgets have surrounded them since they were born. Hence, an initiative to incorporate graphic novels has been carried out by the authors to overcome this problem. By employing the true experimental research design, this study is to investigate the effectiveness of graphic novels in improving primary school ESL pupils’ reading skills. This study employed a quantitative research methodology to gather data for this study. Data were collected from the pretest and post-test and were analyzed using descriptive statistics via the Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Wilcoxon tests. There were 30 of Year 3 primary school ESL pupils from one of the prominent government primary schools in Selangor were chosen to participate in this study. According to the findings of the present study, 15 participants of the experimental group who had studied reading through graphic novels did better on the post-test, demonstrating the value of the medium in teaching the reading domain. This study would benefit ESL teachers in planning an effective, interactive, and fun reading lesson to pique the pupils’ interest in reading. It also offers valuable insights for the researchers and policymakers of incorporating graphic novels in reading practices.
2025-03-05T00:00:00+08:00 Copyright (c) 2025 INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF HUMANITIES, PHILOSOPHY AND LANGUAGES (IJHPL) https://gaexcellence.com/ijhpl/article/view/5147 LITERASI DAN DAYA TAHAN KEWANGAN DALAM KALANGAN PELAJAR IPT: IMPLIKASI TERHADAP KESEJAHTERAAN DAN PEMBANGUNAN MANUSIA 2025-04-27T15:44:52+08:00 Suraini Saufi suraini@kias.edu.my Wan Nadiah Wan Mohd Nasir nadiah@kias.edu.my Hallieyana Sha’ari hallieyana@kias.edu.my Mujiburrahman Muhammad Saleh mujiburrahman@kias.edu.my
Literasi kewangan memainkan peranan penting dalam pembangunan manusia, khususnya dalam kalangan pelajar institusi pengajian tinggi (IPT). The current provision of such programs is commonly dealing with the pupils’ emotional well-being, behavior, social skills, acculturation, resilience, study skills, and career awareness; however, there is no validation study to examine the correlations between the variables just yet. The proposed research is going to engage the Cognitive Behavioral Theory (CBT) as the main underpinning theory, with the ultimate aim to develop and introduce a psychoeducational module as intervention to help the students’ growth. The module is going to be constructed using mixed method approach, combining both quantitative and qualitative feedback from all involved stakeholders, the pupils, teachers, parents, and school administrators.
2025-03-17T00:00:00+08:00 Copyright (c) 2025 INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF HUMANITIES, PHILOSOPHY AND LANGUAGES (IJHPL) https://gaexcellence.com/ijhpl/article/view/4842 PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS' READINESS ON THE USE OF AI GENERATED IMAGE TO TEACH LITERATURE IN ACTION COMPONENT 2025-03-05T10:08:57+08:00 Muhammad Farhan Mohd.Yazid p130401@ukm.edu.my Azlina Abdul Aziz azlina1@ukm.edu.my
This study investigates the readiness of primary school teachers to use AI-created images for teaching literature, identifying the main factors influencing such readiness. For this research, a sample of 70 teachers will be approached. The study will be carried out by applying various statistical analyses: reliability analysis, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and regression analysis. The results indicate that teachers' readiness is high and significantly influenced by performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions. These factors have a positive correlation with teachers' readiness to accept AI-generated images, which is further testified by regression analysis as having predictive power. The implications of these findings are great in terms of educational policy, teacher training, curriculum development, and technology integration for stipulating the need for supportive policies, comprehensive training programs, and user-friendly AI tools in the teaching process. The proposed future studies are longitudinal in nature, such as investigating teacher readiness, the impact of AI on student learning outcomes, cross-cultural comparison studies, and various applications of AI in education.
