Abstract

In the current digital era, social media and government have a complicated and important interaction. Social media and government interactions involve a number of significant areas, such as politics, decision-making, education, crisis and disaster management, and community communication. As technology advances and the social and political landscape evolves, so does the connection between social media and the government. As a result, it's critical to strike a balance between security and freedom of speech and make sure that government usage of social media enhances democracy and citizen involvement.  As a result, it's critical to strike a balance between security and freedom of speech and make sure that government usage of social media enhances democracy and citizen involvement. Consequently, this article delves deeply into the many social media platforms utilized by local government, since it can offer current guidelines for enhancing the quality of services provided by the local government system in Malaysia, particularly making it more efficient and all-encompassing.
