The diminishing of courtesy values in society, especially among the younger generation, is increasingly worrying. Harsh language and disrespectful behaviour are becoming more common in everyday life and on social media. This shows the need to introduce courtesy values from the preschool stage. This is crucial as this is an important period for children’s cognitive, emotional, social and character development. Therefore, this article introduces the innovation “Explore Courtesy and Respect via Stop Motion Animation” to promote values such as respect, politeness, consideration for others, helping friends and good behaviour through a creative and child-friendly approach. The literature shows that stop-motion animation, visual storytelling, multimedia and building blocks have the potential to increase children’s interest, attention, understanding, creativity and participation in learning. The innovation was developed through nine main steps, starting with script preparation, choosing a filming location, preparing the base plate and mini figures, using a smartphone and tripod, recording the actions, editing with digital applications, and finally producing a complete stop-motion animation video. The use of simple and easily available materials makes this innovation practical and flexible. It is hoped that this innovation can become an interesting alternative medium for teaching courtesy values in a simple and meaningful way. Plus, it can be used by teachers and parents to help children develop good manners from an early age.
