Abstract

Kajian ini membincangkan hubungan antara elemen motivasi dalam konstruk kecerdasan emosional menurut Goleman (2003) dan prestasi pekerja. Penyelidikan ini memfokuskan kepada bagaimana aspek motivasi dalam kecerdasan emosional berhubungan dengan prestasi kerja serta kaitannya dengan faktor agama. Metodologi penyelidikan yang digunakan adalah penyelidikan kepustakaan dengan pendekatan deskriptif analisis, mengkaji pandangan Goleman (2003) dan sumber-sumber lain yang berkaitan dengan konsep kecerdasan emosional. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis kandungan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahawa kecerdasan emosional, terutamanya melalui peranan motivasi, merupakan kunci dalam meningkatkan prestasi dan kualiti kerja. Elemen motivasi dalam kecerdasan emosional terbukti sebagai faktor penyumbang penting terhadap prestasi kerja dan wajar diberi perhatian dalam konteks pengurusan sumber manusia.

 

This study explores the relationship between motivational elements within the emotional intelligence construct as proposed by Goleman (2003) and employee performance. The research focuses on how motivational aspects of emotional intelligence relate to job performance and their connection to religious factors. The methodology employed is a literature review with a descriptive analysis approach, examining Goleman’s (2003) viewpoints and other relevant sources on emotional intelligence. Data collected are analyzed using content analysis techniques. The findings indicate that emotional intelligence, particularly through the role of motivation, is crucial for enhancing performance and work quality. Motivational elements in emotional intelligence are proven to be significant contributors to job performance and should be given attention in the context of human resource management.
