Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keperluan pembangunan e-modul pengajaran kraf anyaman dalam Pendidikan Seni Visual Tingkatan 3. Penggunaan integrasi teknologi di sekolah khususnya dalam Pendidikan Seni Visual PSV, masih kurang diberi pendedahan secara komprehensif dan sistematik. Oleh itu, pendekatan Design and Development Research (DDR) digunakan dalam kajian ini dengan menumpukan kepada Fasa 1, iaitu Analisis Keperluan, yang diperoleh melalui temu bual separa berstruktur melibatkan enam orang guru Pendidikan Seni Visual. Protokol temu bual yang dibina telah mendapat pengesahan daripada pakar bidang Pendidikan Seni Visual, teknologi dan pengajaran, serta pakar bahasa. Kajian ini menggunakan perisian bantuan komputer ATLAS.ti untuk mengenal pasti tema utama dalam data kajian. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahawa guru menghadapi pelbagai cabaran, antaranya kekurangan bahan bantu mengajar berasaskan teknologi, kesukaran mendapatkan sumber bahan anyaman, serta tahap minat murid yang rendah terhadap seni kraf tradisional. Dapatan kajian mendapati penggunaan teknologi dalam pengajaran seni anyaman masih terhad disebabkan kekurangan bahan digital interaktif yang khusus untuk topik seni anyaman. Hasil kajian ini juga menunjukkan bahawa kebanyakan guru masih menggunakan kaedah tradisional seperti buku teks dan demonstrasi langsung, yang kadangkala kurang efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman murid. Justeru, kajian ini mencadangkan e-modul sebagai satu usaha untuk keperluan guru dalam pengajaran, di samping berpotensi menarik minat murid terhadap seni anyaman.

This study aims to analyze the needs for developing a teaching e-module on weaving crafts in Form 3 Visual Arts Education. The integration of technology in schools, particularly in Visual Arts Education (PSV), has yet to be given comprehensive and systematic attention. Therefore, the Design and Development Research (DDR) approach was employed in this study, focusing on Phase 1, namely Needs Analysis, which was conducted through semi-structured interviews involving six Visual Arts teachers. The interview protocol developed was validated by experts in Visual Arts Education, technology and teaching, as well as language experts. The study utilized the ATLAS.ti computer-assisted software to identify key themes in the research data. The findings revealed that teachers face various challenges, including a lack of technology-based teaching aids, difficulty in obtaining weaving materials, and low student interest in traditional craft arts. The results also indicated that the use of technology in teaching weaving arts remains limited due to the lack of interactive digital materials specifically designed for this topic. Additionally, the findings showed that most teachers still rely on traditional methods such as textbooks and direct demonstrations, which are sometimes less effective in enhancing students’ understanding. Therefore, this study proposes the development of an e-module as a means to meet teachers' instructional needs while also having the potential to spark students’ interest in weaving arts.
