Abstract

Artikel ini membincangkan kesahan item dalam soal selidik bagi mengukur tahap stres murid sekolah menengah. Instrumen ini diadaptasi dari Inventori Stres Pelajar (ISP) dikhususkan untuk pelajar universiti yang dibina oleh Mohammad Aziz Shah Mohamed Arip, Durrah Nadiah Kamaruzaman, Azila Roslan & Aslina Ahmad (2020). ISP dibina berdasarkan gabungan dua teoretikal utama iaitu Teori Sindrom Adaptasi Umum atau General Adaptation Syndrome Theory dan Teori Stres Alam Sekitar atau Environmental Stress Theory. Untuk mendapatkan kesahan item dalam instrumen ini, pandangan lapan orang pakar telah dikaji. Kesahan instrumen diukur menggunakan Indeks Kesahan Kandungan (Content Validaty Index, CVI). Hasil penilaian kesahan oleh pakar menunjukkan semua pakar bersetuju dengan item yang disediakan. Sementara itu, dengan nilai S-CVI/Ave 0.963, instrumen ini menunjukkan tahap kesahan yang tinggi. Kesimpulannya, item dalam instrumen ini dianggap sah untuk mengukur tahap stres murid sekolah menengah berdasarkan kesahan pakar  yang tinggi.

This article discusses the item validity in a questionnaire used to measure the stress level of secondary school students. The instrument is adapted from the Student Stress Inventory (ISP) designed for university students by Mohammad Aziz Shah Mohamed Arip, Durrah Nadiah Kamaruzaman, Azila Roslan & Aslina Ahmad (2020). The ISP is based on a combination of two main theories, the General Adaptation Syndrome Theory and the Environmental Stress Theory. To obtain item validity for this instrument, the views of eight experts were examined. The validity of the instrument was measured using the Content Validity Index (CVI). The results of the expert validation showed that all experts agreed with the items provided. Meanwhile, with an S-CVI/Ave value of 0.963, the instrument shows a high level of validity. In conclusion, the items in this instrument are considered valid for measuring the stress level of secondary school students based on the high expert validity.
