Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara sistematik perkembangan, cabaran serta peluang pengintegrasian teknologi Revolusi Industri 4.0 (RI 4.0) dalam Pendidikan Islam sepanjang tempoh 2015 hingga 2025. Sebanyak 78 artikel telah dianalisis, dipilih berdasarkan kriteria PRISMA termasuk fokus pada pendidikan Islam, penglibatan teknologi RI 4.0, serta diterbitkan dalam tempoh 2015 hingga 2025. Bagi mengenal pasti dan menganalisis dapatan daripada pelbagai sumber akademik yang relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahawa penggunaan teknologi seperti kecerdasan buatan (AI), realiti maya (VR), Internet of Things (IoT) dan blockchain semakin meluas dalam pendidikan Islam, terutamanya dalam bidang pembelajaran Al-Quran, fiqh dan sirah. Namun begitu, kajian turut mengenal pasti empat cabaran utama iaitu kekangan infrastruktur, kesediaan pedagogi, isu budaya dan agama serta kekurangan dasar institusi yang menyeluruh. Di sebalik cabaran ini, wujud potensi besar dalam memanfaatkan teknologi RI 4.0 untuk meningkatkan kualiti pembelajaran, memperkasa pengalaman pelajar dan meluaskan akses kepada pendidikan Islam secara global. Oleh yang demikian, kajian ini mencadangkan pelaksanaan dasar teknologi pendidikan Islam yang bersepadu, latihan guru berasaskan kerangka TPACK Pendidikan Islam, dan penambahbaikan infrastruktur teknologi sebagai langkah strategik. Kesimpulannya, pengintegrasian teknologi RI 4.0 dalam pendidikan Islam bukan sekadar satu keperluan semasa, bahkan satu tuntutan strategik untuk memastikan sistem pendidikan Islam kekal relevan, berdaya saing serta selari dengan prinsip maqasid syariah pada era digital masa kini.

This study aims to systematically analyze the development, challenges, and opportunities of integrating Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR 4.0) technologies into Islamic education from 2015 to 2025. A total of 78 articles were reviewed, selected based on PRISMA criteria which include a focus on Islamic education, incorporation of IR 4.0 technologies, and publication within the stated time frame. The review draws upon a range of relevant academic sources to synthesize key findings. The results reveal a growing adoption of technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Virtual Reality (VR), Internet of Things (IoT), and blockchain in Islamic education—particularly in the areas of Qur’anic learning, fiqh, and sirah. Nevertheless, the study identifies four major challenges: infrastructural limitations, pedagogical readiness, cultural and religious sensitivities, and the lack of comprehensive institutional policy frameworks. Despite these challenges, there remains significant potential to leverage IR 4.0 technologies to enhance the quality of learning, enrich student experiences, and expand global access to Islamic education. Accordingly, this study recommends the implementation of an integrated Islamic educational technology policy, teacher training grounded in the Islamic TPACK framework, and infrastructural improvement as strategic initiatives. In conclusion, the integration of IR 4.0 technologies in Islamic education is not merely a contemporary necessity but a strategic imperative to ensure the continued relevance, competitiveness, and alignment of Islamic education with the principles of maqasid shariah in today’s digital age.
