Abstract

Pemakanan seimbang merupakan aspek penting dalam menjaga kesihatan fizikal dan kesejahteraan holistik manusia. Dalam perspektif Islam, konsep “halalan tayyiban” yang digariskan dalam al-Quran dan Hadis menyediakan panduan komprehensif untuk pemilihan makanan yang halal, bersih, dan mempunyai nutrisi. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis prinsip pemakanan seimbang dalam Islam, mengenal pasti cabaran dalam pengamalannya, serta menilai hubungan antara pemakanan Islam dan kesejahteraan ummah. Pendekatan kualitatif melalui analisis kandungan digunakan dengan rujukan daripada sumber primer dan sekunder, termasuk kitab tafsir, Hadis, serta kajian literatur. Dapatan menunjukkan bahawa prinsip “halalan tayyiban” menyumbang kepada kesihatan fizikal yang lebih baik dan pengurangan risiko penyakit kronik seperti diabetes dan hipertensi. Selain itu, amalan pemakanan sunnah seperti pengambilan kurma dan madu terbukti memberikan manfaat kesihatan signifikan apabila diamalkan secara konsisten. Walau bagaimanapun, globalisasi, gaya hidup moden, dan kekurangan kesedaran tentang pemakanan seimbang yang halal dan tayyib menjadi cabaran utama bagi umat Islam. Kajian ini mencadangkan usaha pendidikan dan kesedaran yang lebih intensif, termasuk integrasi prinsip Islam dalam pendidikan formal dan penggunaan teknologi untuk mendidik masyarakat. Dengan itu, pemahaman dan amalan pemakanan Islam dapat ditingkatkan, menyumbang kepada kesejahteraan ummah secara holistik. Kajian lanjutan disarankan untuk mengkaji keberkesanan modul pendidikan pemakanan Islam, impak teknologi dalam menyokong amalan pemakanan seimbang, serta kesan globalisasi terhadap budaya makanan Islam.

Balanced nutrition is a crucial aspect of maintaining physical health and holistic well-being. From an Islamic perspective, the concept of halalan tayyiban as outlined in the Qur'an and Hadith provides a comprehensive guideline for selecting food that is halal, clean, and nutritionally beneficial. This study aims to analyse the principles of balanced nutrition in Islam, identify challenges in its practice, and assess the relationship between Islamic nutrition and the well-being of the ummah. A qualitative approach through content analysis is employed, referencing primary and secondary sources, including tafsir books, Hadith, and literature reviews. Findings indicate that the principle of halalan tayyiban contributes to better physical health and reduces the risk of chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension. Additionally, the practice of prophetic nutrition, such as the consumption of dates and honey, has been proven to provide significant health benefits when consistently adhered to. However, globalisation, modern lifestyles, and a lack of awareness regarding balanced nutrition that is halal and tayyib pose major challenges for Muslims. This study suggests more intensive educational and awareness efforts, including the integration of Islamic principles in formal education and the use of technology to educate society. Through these measures, understanding and practice of Islamic nutrition can be enhanced, contributing to the holistic well-being of the ummah. Further studies are recommended to examine the effectiveness of Islamic nutrition education modules, the impact of technology in supporting balanced nutrition practices, and the effects of globalisation on Islamic food culture.
