High-performing employees are very important for every organization, especially for the Armed Forces that protect the defense of a country. In this regard, past studies by scholars have found that among the factors that greatly influence a person's work performance are training, incentives, support from superiors and others. However, this study has analysed the influence of top management support on the work performance of members of the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) because of their importance in carrying out the task of defending the country's sovereignty. The design of this study is quantitative using a set of questionnaires as the research instrument. The number of study samples is 384 LLP MAF members who were randomly selected from a total population of 84,839 total MAF members. The data obtained was then analyzed using the SmartPLS 3.2.5 software package. Bootstrapping tests showed that there was an insignificant relationship between support from superior management on the work performance of MAF members, namely the R2 value was at a weak level. This finding shows that support from superiors is not important in influencing the level of work performance of MAF members. Even the absence of awards or any incentives obtained did not prevent them from continuing to perform in protecting the country's sovereignty throughout their time in the MAF service.
