PENGARUH PERSONALITI GURU PENDIDIKAN ISLAM DAN CIRI DEMOGRAFI MEREKA TERHADAP SAHSIAH MURID DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH KEBANGSAAN DI MALAYSIA

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh personaliti guru Pendidikan Islam (GPI) dan ciri demografi mereka terhadap sahsiah murid di sekolah menengah kebangsaan di Malaysia. Pelbagai penyelewengan sosial dalam kalangan murid dan GPI sendiri terus berlaku. GPI seharusnya memainkan peranan sebagai pendidik, dan menanamkan sahsiah yang baik dalam diri murid seiring dengan ajaran agama Islam. Kajian kuantitatif dengan reka bentuk deskriptif melalui kaedah tinjauan soal selidik telah dilaksanakan, di mana seramai 419 GPI di sekolah menengah kebangsaan seluruh Malaysia dipilih sebagai responden kajian melalui persampelan rawak mudah. Semua personaliti GPI yang dikaji mencatatkan skor min pada tahap tinggi di mana penampilan (M=4.48), komunikasi (M=4.43), tingkah laku (M=4.42), emosi (M=4.37), dan dedikasi (M=4.44). Sahsiah murid juga berada pada tahap tinggi (M=4.28). Analisis ujian-T sampel tidak bersandar mendapati terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan antara semua ciri personaliti GPI dengan faktor jantina (t291.206=-2.941, p<0.001). Tahap personaliti GPI lelaki adalah lebih rendah daripada GPI perempuan. Kemudian, kajian mendapati tiada perbezaan signifikan bagi personaliti GPI berdasarkan lokasi kerja mereka (t321.596=-0.159, p>0.001). Analisis PLS-SEM pula menunjukkan personaliti GPI dalam penampilan (f2=0.053), komunikasi (f2=0.000), tingkah laku (f2=0.000), emosi (f2=0.004) dan dedikasi (f2=0.000) menunjukkan kesan yang kecil kepada sahsiah murid. Kajian ini memberi kepentingan kepada pembangunan sahsiah murid dan personaliti guru yang unggul.
This study aims to study the influence of Islamic Education (IP) teachers' personalities and their demographic characteristics on the personality of students in national secondary schools in Malaysia. Various social deviations among students and IPs themselves continue to occur. IPs should play a role as educators, and instill good personalities in students in line with Islamic teachings. A quantitative study with a descriptive design using a questionnaire survey method was carried out, where a total of 419 IPs in national secondary schools throughout Malaysia were selected as study respondents through simple random sampling. All IP personalities studied recorded mean scores at a high level where appearance (M=4.48), communication (M=4.43), behavior (M=4.42), emotion (M=4.37), and dedication (M=4.44). The personality of students was also at a high level (M=4.28). Independent sample T-test analysis found that there was a significant difference between all GPI personality traits with gender factor (t291.206=-2.941, p<0.001). The level of male GPI personality was lower than female GPI. Then, the study found that there was no significant difference for GPI personality based on their work location (t321.596=-0.159, p>0.001). PLS-SEM analysis showed that GPI personality in appearance (f2=0.053), communication (f2=0.000), behavior (f2=0.000), emotion (f2=0.004) and dedication (f2=0.000) showed a small effect on student personality. This study gives importance to the development of student personality and excellent teacher personality.
