Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan mengenal pasti pengaruh Gaya Kepimpinan Transformasi Guru Besar terhadap Perilaku Inovasi dalam kalangan guru. Kajian ini menggunakan kaedah kuantitatif dengan mengaplikasikan pendekatan tinjauan. Seramai 196 orang guru dari Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil di Daerah Kuala Muda Yan telah dipilih sebagai sampel kajian dengan menggunakan teknik persampelan rawak mudah. Soal selidik yang mengandungi 80 item digunakan sebagai instrumen pengumpulan data yang mempunyai nilai kebolehpercayaan sebanyak 0.78 bagi pemboleh ubah Gaya Kepimpinan Transformasi Guru Besar  dan 0.89 bagi pemboleh ubah Perilaku Inovasi Guru . Data kajian dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan inferensi iaitu regresi berganda. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan tahap Kepimpinan Transformasi Guru Besar berada pada tahap tinggi. Dapatan kajian juga menunjukkan bahawa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara Gaya Kepimpinan Tranformasi Guru Besar terhadap Perilaku Inovasi Guru. Implikasi kajian ini dapat dilihat menerusi amalan Kepimpinan Transformasi Guru Besar yang menjurus pada galakan Perilaku Inovasi dalam kalangan guru. Namun, masih terdapat ruang kepada golongan pemimpin dalam memberi pendedahan dan penekanan terhadap Perilaku Inovasi dalam kalangan guru.

This study aims to identify the influence of the Headmaster's Transformational Leadership Style on the Innovative Behavior among teachers. This study uses a quantitative approach by applying a survey method. 196 teachers from Tamil Vernacular Schools (SJKT) in the Kuala Muda Yan District were selected as the study sample using simple random sampling technique. A questionnaire containing 80 items was used as the data collection instrument, with a reliability value of 0.78 for the Headmaster’s Transformational Leadership Style variable and 0.89 for the Teacher’s Innovative Behavior variable. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics, specifically multiple regression. The findings show that the level of the Headmaster’s Transformational Leadership Style is high. The findings also indicate that there is a significant influence of the Headmaster's Transformational Leadership Style on the Teacher’s Innovative Behavior. The implications of this study can be seen through the practice of the Headmaster's Transformational Leadership, which encourages Innovative Behavior among teachers. However, there is still room for leaders to provide exposure and emphasize Innovative Behavior among teachers.
