Abstract

Sesebuah karya yang dihasilkan oleh seseorang pengarang sering memaparkan rentetan peristiwa yang diadun di dalam karyanya secara tidak langsung merupakan pandangan pengarang terhadap persoalan yang terjadi dalam masyarakat. Frasa tujuan menemukan kepada karya sasterawan Negara Keris Mas, novel Saudagar Besar dari Kuala Lumpur dengan tujuan menemukan pemikiran atau mitos pengarang yang menyentuh isu sosioekonomi Bumiputera di dalam teks dan bagaimana Bumiputera mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Bagi memastikan objektif kajian ini tercapai, kajian ini akan mengaplikasikan pendekatan mitologi Barthes secara berstruktur dengan mengenal pasti tanda dan seterusnya menganalisis makna di dalam teks. Dapatan menunjukkan bahawa terdapatnya tanda dan makna yang ada kaitan dengan punca permasalahan sosioekonomi Bumiputera dan penyelesaiannya. Turut digarap perlaksanaan Dasar Ekonomi Baharu (DEB) yang diperkenalkan oleh kerajaan bertujuan untuk membasmi kemiskinan terutama dalam kalangan masyarakat Bumiputera. Implikasinya, sebagai petunjuk melalui DEB kerajaan menggalakkan masyarakat luar bandar terutamanya Melayu meninggalkan pekerjaan tradisi dengan menceburi bidang pekerjaan baharu yang berkaitan dengan usahawan untuk meningkatkan taraf pendapatan dan ekonomi masyarakat tempatan.

The purpose phrase is to find the work of the National writer Keris Mas, the novel Saudagar Besar from Kuala Lumpur with the aim of finding the author's thoughts or myths that touch on Bumiputera socioeconomic issues in the text and how Bumiputera overcome these problems. To ensure that the objectives of this study are achieved, this study will apply Barthes' mythology approach in a structured way by identifying signs and then analyzing the meaning in the text. The findings show that there are signs and meanings that are related to the causes of Bumiputera socioeconomic problems and their solutions. Also being worked on is the implementation of the New Economic Policy (NEP) introduced by the government with the aim of eradicating poverty, especially among the Bumiputera community. The implication is that as a guide through the NEP, the government encourages rural communities, especially Malays, to leave traditional jobs by venturing into new job fields related to entrepreneurs to improve the income and economic standards of the local community.
