Artikel ini membentangkan satu ulasan sistematik literatur (Systematic Literature Review, SLR) yang memfokuskan kepada penggunaan kecerdasan buatan (AI) dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran Literasi Bahasa Melayu di peringkat sekolah rendah. Kajian ini bertujuan mengenal pasti trend penyelidikan, potensi penggunaan AI, cabaran pelaksanaannya, serta jurang kajian yang masih wujud dalam bidang ini. Carian literatur dilaksanakan menggunakan kata kunci seperti “AI”, “literasi”, “Bahasa Melayu”, dan “pendidikan” dalam pangkalan data Google Scholar dan Scopus bagi tempoh 2019–2024. Sebanyak empat artikel utama telah dikenal pasti dan dianalisis secara kritikal. Dapatan menunjukkan bahawa AI mempunyai potensi besar untuk meningkatkan literasi melalui pembelajaran yang diperibadikan dan pemberian maklum balas segera. Namun, pelaksanaan AI masih berdepan kekangan seperti keterbatasan infrastruktur, kurangnya latihan guru, dan kekurangan sumber data korpus Bahasa Melayu. Artikel ini turut mencadangkan reka bentuk kajian kualitatif berbentuk kajian kes sebagai asas penyelidikan lanjutan. Implikasi kajian ini diharapkan dapat membantu penyelidik dan penggubal dasar merangka pendekatan yang lebih berkesan, inklusif, dan relevan dengan konteks pendidikan literasi berasaskan AI di Malaysia.
This article presents a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) focusing on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in the teaching and learning of Malay language literacy at the primary school level. The purpose of this study is to identify research trends, potential applications of AI, implementation challenges, and existing research gaps in this field. The literature search was conducted using keywords such as “AI”, “literacy”, “Malay language”, and “education” across databases including Google Scholar and Scopus, covering the period from 2019 to 2024. A total of four key articles were identified and critically analyzed. The findings reveal that AI holds significant potential to enhance literacy through personalized learning and the provision of immediate feedback. However, the implementation of AI remains constrained by challenges such as limited infrastructure, insufficient teacher training, and the lack of a comprehensive Malay language corpus. This article further proposes a qualitative case study design as a foundation for future research. The implications of this study are expected to assist researchers and policymakers in formulating more effective, inclusive, and contextually relevant AI-based literacy education approaches in Malaysia.
